Welcome to our Home for the Holidays

This year I made a new wreath.  I started out with a vine wreath and spray painted it with silver paint.

Then I grabbed some leaves from our front yard and sprayed them... it was amazing to see the before and after of the leaves.

Added some christmas balls and Ta Da!  We love it!

A new Chef in the Family

We went to excersize together tonight at the life center and then went to the grocery store... we were going to get stuff to make a salid but it is so crazy expensive for everything we wanted to put in it.  So garrett decided to cook dinner for us!  Ok so in the past the extent of his cooking has been very great hamburgers on the George Forman... But tonight he made breaded pork chops... they were very good too!  We had fun together in the kitchen cooken, I made all the sides : mashed potatoes, broccoli and stuffing.  It was fun!!!

Winter Time

Today was a great Sunday.  We went to church this morning and then went to lunch at garretts parents for chili.  After that we got to go see the new Options building and then went to the Parade.  I remember going to the parade as a little girl with my daddy and Kelsey and Anna.  It was so cold tonight... Garrett let me wear his hat. And Mr Kent who was there a TCAD bus made us warm hot chocolote! Mrs Lori came with Courtney and we brought Phillip.

After the parade we went to Dunkin Donuts and then to the dollar tree and to target and to wal-mart... pretty much just for the fun of it : )  It was a fun day!

An Amazing Husband

Provider is definitely what Garrett is for our family!  Through the past year we have gone several different places through school, jobs and such.  But we now have landed at a great place that God truly has blessed us with!  Garrett started his company at the beginning of last year and since then has been blessed with some amazing clients. He mostly does work for companies here in town everything from hotels to realistate companies and anything in between.  He also has many home users that he helps as well.  Not every day is easy running your own company.  There has been a lot to learn and a lot more we to come. But we know we have been blessed!  Garrett is the most amazing worker.  Always cares fully about his cliets needs and I respect him and love him so much because of all that he does through this job.

Being Thankful

We celebrated Thanksgiving at Garretts parents house we watched some of the thanksgiving day parade and had a huge meal in the front living room.  It was so yummy!  While we were sitting there Uncle Tom noticed out of the window that it was snowing!  Our first snow of the year!  It was beautiful too!

After lunch Kent had to go to work at SDC so we had Mrs Lori over to our house and made sugar cookies and watched a movie.  (it wasn't a great movie though)

The next day we headed up to Lebonon and had an amazing meal at grandma and grandpa H's house.  Aunt Val made all of the yummy greatness.  After lunch Garrett and I spent the night at Aunt Val's house.  She helped Garrett with some business accounting things and helped me with this gorgeous flower arrangement.

That night we watched a movie together. (which also was not great)  But the next morning we went back to Grandma and Papa's and put up there Christmas Tree.  Then we ate Taco Bell with them : )

Our First Anniversary!

Oh my goodness can you believe we have been married a year already!  We got to celebrate by going to a cabin for the night!  It was about a mile from our house... but it was a wonderful vacation for the night!  It was an amazing 3 bedroom two bath cabin with a full kitchen and a loft.  One of our favorite parts was the fireplace oh and the hot tub on the screened in back porch!  It was just so relaxing and so wonderful!!!

We watched cheeper by the dozen and ate pizza from dominoes. Which was sentimental because we ate Dominoes about 4 nights while we were on our honey moon : )

After Church the next morning we went to stake n shake for lunch. Garrett LOVES there chili : )

The G-parents

Today we went to Forsyth to eat lunch with Grandma and Grandpa Vanderpool.  We normally go to their house for lunch on Sundays but this Sunday is our anniversary so we wanted to make sure and see them before then.  They celebrated their 55th earlier this year and we have been working on a book for them. I finally got it done and and it came in the mail yesterday so we thought it would be the perfect time to meet them for lunch.

We are so blessed to have all our grandparents pretty close so we can see them more oftin than most!  We are blessed to have wonderful Families!

An Overview of a week

We have been busy!  I've had several photo shoots the past couple weeks and garrett is stayen busy with his clients. I just wanted to write about just a couple things that have gone on in the past week.

Garrett Took me shopping at the beginning of the week and picked me out some really pretty earrings... in the photo above you can kinda see them. They are little black and silver roses with diamonds in the middle. I'm going to wear them for our anniversary shoot on Monday.  Pretty excited!  We also went and got garrett a pair of new khaki pants. He want's to wear them so bad but i'm making him wait till next week too. : )

For lunch on Monday I made spicy orange glazed shrimp with seasoned noodles and an egg roll... It was fancy... : )

While we were shopping for garrett's new khakis we got side tracked and tried on some crazy hats...

We thought we could wear them for a photo shoot and make Christmas cards... but then again we hope to be a little better looking in those.  You should be glad about that decision.  But while we were there getting side tracked again we found this really cool coat.

It's a three in one, which means it can be a wind breaker a big coat or a tighter more fitted coat.  We both really loved the color... and it's so comfy!  That night we also had to buy a new coffee maker because I blew up our old one... : (  How do I do that you might ask?  Well I did sad day I know!

Jack Jack has been here this week because his mommy and daddy are in New York!  It has been such a delite to have his cutie smile so close!  He is growing up so so so fast!  He's standing up by himself now and will walk with you if he has a finger to hold.  He has been saying "Hi, Gar" over and over.  He loves his uncle garrett!  He has been having so much fun staying at Grandma and Grandpa's house!  This picture is of Jack learning all about IT stuff with his uncle garrett's help. : )
Last night Garrett and I had a date night we went and walked at the Landing and then went to StarBucks and enjoyed some coffee and hot chocolate. I got my rings cleaned too.  It was a really relaxing and wonderful night!

Today Randi came over for a little bit.  It was so so fantastic to be able to talk a little bit with her!  She took me to Wal-mart and I got this new bedspread.  We got our queen size bed about 4 or 5 months ago but had no queen size covers... so it will be really nice to have a cover big enough for both of us this winter.  We also rearranged our bedroom again I love the new layout!  And Mr Kent has been over here nearly every night putting in a new subfloor and tiles in our bathroom... It looks fantastic!!!  We are so grateful!

Road Trip

Well it was the weekend and we woke up wondering what we would do with our Saturday.... We got an idea so we called my sister and she said it would be ok... Even though we knew mom was going to be so sad we did this.  We decided to do it... Go visit the Copelands for the weekend!  So we first went to Wal-mart and got an oil change.  Which was fun because it was beautiful outside with the fall weather and we walked to Taco Bell and got a Mt. Dew.  And then we headed down south to Arkadoo!

We concluded that it was our absolute longest Road trip we have been on together just the two of us.  The drive was really fun!  Then when we got there Lori and I made Enchiladas! After dinner we all went on a walk around the town.  And Jack like pointed at the moon and saying "moon, moon" He's precious that's for sure, his smile is just so big!

When we got home we watched a documentary and played some uno as we ate yummy ice cream.   The next morning we got to eat breakfast outside and go to church with Lori and Donnie.  It was WONDERFUL to see my sis and we really enjoyed our time with them!

Wednesdays In our Home

This morning I woke up about 8am when I heard the door open and footsteps running to the bedroom... it was garrett AND abbie!  Garrett has been working hard today. God has blessed us so much with being able to do our own business this early in our life together.

Abbie and I went to the grocery store today and she got to ride in a "car" and drive our cart around the store she was so cute!

We ate lunch with garrett we had a picnic on our porch with chips and dip and subway sandwhiches and grapes.  YUMMY stuff!  Abbie and I picked up leaves with her green toy bucket from our porch and then carried them to the other side of the yard to dump them out... Then we painted our toe nails bright pink! After garrett gets home from work we are hoping to go get some christmas gifts including getting garrett's new hoodie embroidered.   And then we are going to AWANA to listen to verses and then go to solutions. Wednesdays are busy days for us.

Today is also Daddys Birthday!  Last night we went to Famous Dave's down at the Landing for a birthday dinner.  Grandma and Grandpa Cain came to eat with us!  It was lots of fun!  I am so very very thankful for my Father!  He has been the best and most amazing example of a provider in my life!  I have been so blessed with a Godly Dad in my life!  I love that we get to live close to mom and dad and be a part of their lives!
